Meet The Team

With over a decade of training experience, Terena Thomas, CPDT-KA, CGC Evaluator, has mastered
the skills of communication between dog and owner. Her enthusiastic
and motivational training techniques allow even novice pet owners
to understand and implement her positive reinforcement, non-invasive
training methods. She is certified by the CCPDT (Certification Council for Pet Dog Trainers) as a qualified training instructor. Terena has a BS in Psychology from University of Colorado and she is a Certified Instructor for the Red Cross with Pet First Aid and CPR.
For
dog owners seeking more than just a well mannered family pet, Terena
has trained, competed and attained official titles in the American
Kennel Club obedience ring, the tracking field, service and therapy
dog communities and conformation rings. Her zeal and wholeheartedness
inspires her clients, while also motivating them through easy, real-life
exercises.
Judging
county fairs allows Terena to teach and encourage young adults to
train using gentle strategies rather than traditional military-type
training. Her strong conviction in positive motivation, reinforcement
and counter conditioning results in well trained dogs with spirit
and a joy for learning!

Alyce Ventrano
Alyce, our Animal Resource Manager, is our right hand gal. She helps the business run more efficiently and makes sure all of the dogs husbandry and welfare needs are exceeded. She is certified in Pet First Aid and CPR and has the confidence to know when and how to act in an emergency. Alyce is young, energetic and very responsible.

Dorit Ernst, CPDT-KA
Coming back soon!
Master Trainer, Dorit Ernst,CPDT-KA from Germany. We have enjoyed Dorit and look forward to working with her in the future. She is patient, kind, loving and a great Master Trainer!
Laura Van Dyne, CPDT
Laura teaches many different classes that compliment our schedule.
Amelia Wilcox
New apprentice Amelia Wilcox will be joining us for a year starting
in May 2010. We have much hope in the potential this young, vivacious,
in-tune and intelligent gal brings to the school. Her ability to read
animals and their people will be an asset and her gentle spirit will
reflect calm control with the dogs. When you meet her, be sure to
welcome her to the area. She has large shoes to fill with Dorit being
back in Germany.
Ross Tucker
New Property Manager Ross Tucker will also be joining the team in May
from Wyoming. We are excited by the prospect that he'll add a much
needed male presence to the animal's interactions. He comes with a lot
of animal experience, but we really need him to paint the scratched
doors, fill the ever present holes in the yard and build or fix all that
equipment we use. Welcome Ross!
