The Canine Country School, LLC was founded in 1986 and has successfully trained over 1,000 dogs from across the nation. We offer humane, loving methods in dog training using a unique and practical approach. The Canine Country School is located near Gypsum, Colorado on a ranch at the foot of the Flat Tops Wilderness area where the lazy Colorado River extends its bank for nearly a mile. This is the place where the sun kisses snow covered plateaus while the soft gurgle of running water soothes the soul. Our large, grassy fields are the ideal place for exciting agility courses and tranquil dog walks; BLM borders the property on three sides, so if our 31 acres isn’t big enough for your dog’s adventure with us, we have thousands of acres out our back door. Ute Indian trails dating back over a century criss-cross their way up the bluff while several other Jeep and hiking trails resonate from our fertile river valley. This truly is an enchanting location for the best dog training you can get!

Although your dog will thank you for setting him up with such serene natural surroundings, he’ll especially love you for choosing a training program that believes he’s also part of the family. Our cozy complex has housing that’s realistic, comfortable, safe and inviting. Your best friend won’t miss the chain link kennel with cold cement floors found at other training facilities, because he’ll be busy cuddling with his very own Key Comfort Person, in a real in-home environment anytime he’s not busy learning, playing or resting. Sleeping in the same room with his special person will ensure that he feels loved 24 hours a day thus increasing his educational experience!
